January-February Lawn Service

Day 1

Today we applied an all liquid treatment. This consisted of 0-0-62,FE-8. For root stimulation, pre-emergent weed control, post emergent weed control new customers or spot treated weeds to our existing customers.

What to expect

You should not see a  green up. Weeds should be curling with in 2-4 weeks. This service is not designed for any kind of green. It is designed for weed control and to help the turf to come out  of winter  

Watering

This service needs to be watered in after 24 hours. Watch temperatures. You should be watering 1-2 times monthly about 1 inch of water per zone. Most systems around 30 minutes per zone. Sprinklers should be coming on in the Morning hours and to shut off before 10:00 am. WATCH FOR FREEZE WARNINGS! Early evening watering causes  fungus. Watering should start after temperature rises above 32*.

Mowing

Water in this service before mowing. Wait to mow for 48 hours if weeds were sprayed. You mowing height should be no less than4 inches in mowing height. Mow at least every 7 -21 days. NEVER MOW OR PLAY ON TURF AREAS  WHEN FROST IS PRESENT.

MOWER BLADES NEED TO BE SHARP!

What to look for: Brown circular areas in turf. Do not over water.  Make sure your mowing at least 4 inches. This is to protect against frost damage. Pay attention to freeze warnings. Check your irrigation system should be watering about ten minutes less a zone.  
Next Service: Will consist of an all dry application. . This service is designed to replace all minor  and major nutrients. It also conditions the soil to allow nutrients to flow easier into  the turf root system. This service is designed to green up lawn when soil temperatures allow for green up.
